Position: Chief Depot Expert
Location: Mumbai
Experience: 20+ Years
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Expertise Requirement:
- Minimum 8 years experience in Rolling Stock Depot planning, construction, systems, and O&M within Metro Railways / Indian Railways.
- Hands-on experience with depot design, depot equipment (M&P), workshop systems, stabling lines, OCC/Depot control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate Depot layout, Depot M&P equipment, workshop systems, maintenance facilities, and operational workflows.
- Assist client's with depot-related design review, DPR inputs, interface management, and systems integration.
- Review Depot designs submitted by GC/DDC/Contractors and ensure adherence to client's standards & guidelines.
- Oversee implementation of depot systems:
- Workshop equipment
- Lifting jacks
- Bogie drop
- PIT lines
- Stabling/inspection lines
- Train wash plants
- Maintenance workflow systems
- Ensure integration with Rolling Stock, Signaling, Traction, SCADA, Telecom, and Civil packages.
- Supervise depot system erection, testing, commissioning, quality assurance, and safety compliance.
- Assist in tender preparation, bid evaluation, pre-bid meetings related to depot packages.
- Coordinate with statutory bodies for clearances (Fire, Environment, RDSO, etc.).
- Support MMRDA in payment certification, contractor monitoring, progress reporting & risk control.
