Job Summary:

A Car Sales Executive is responsible for selling new or used vehicles to customers, meeting sales targets, and providing an excellent customer experience. This role requires strong product knowledge, persuasive communication, and the ability to understand customer needs and match them with the right vehicle.

Sales Executives work in dealerships and must balance salesmanship with professionalism and product expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and engage with walk-in customers and online or phone enquiries.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend suitable vehicles.
  • Explain features, options, warranties, and financing terms.
  • Arrange test drives and follow up on prospects.
  • Negotiate price, finance, and trade-in terms to close deals.
  • Process sales paperwork and ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of new arrivals, promotions, and automotive trends.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in automotive sales or a related retail sales role is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is usually required.
  • Sales or product training certifications are a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Showroom floor of a dealership (new or used cars).
  • May involve working evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Fast-paced, competitive environment with customer-facing responsibilities.

  • Commission-based or base salary plus commission (OTE-focused role).
