Job Title: Trading Enabler, Associate
Location: Mumbai, India
Role Description

• The Trader Assistant is a critical support role, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation for trading activities.
• This position is responsible for a wide range of operational, administrative, and analytical tasks that directly contribute to the desk's profitability, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• A key aspect of this role involves close partnership with front office sales and trading teams as well as external brokers and counterparties to facilitate seamless execution and client servicing.
• The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, possess strong quantitative skills, and thrive in a fast-paced trading environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to fixed income markets and develop a career in trading or finance.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Trade Support & Processing:

• Oversee the execution, booking, and confirmation processes for repo, reverse repo, and securities lending transactions.

• Ensure accurate and timely input of trade details into front-office systems.
• Monitor and reconcile trade blotters against internal systems and external counterparties.
• Address and resolve trade breaks and discrepancies promptly in coordination with operations and middle office teams.

• Run internal FTP processes to pass economics to internal stakeholder outcomes

• Collateral Management:

• Assist in tracking and managing collateral movements, ensuring sufficient collateral is available for repo transactions.

• Monitor collateral eligibility, haircuts, and compliance with internal and external guidelines.

• Liaise with operations for collateral settlement and dispute resolution.

• Communication:

• Serve as a central point of contact between Repo Desk Front Office and Middle/Back Office teams.

• Act critical link with external counterparties managing the lifecycle of trades.
• Build internal networks to enhance post trade processes and client experience

Your Skills And Experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in repo operations and understanding of the front to back flow is a plus.
• Exceptional Attention to Detail: Critical for accurate bookings, reconciliation, and risk monitoring.
• Strong Communication Skills: Clear and concise written and verbal communication, ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Proactive in identifying issues and resourceful in finding solutions.
• Ability to Work Under Pressure: Thrive in a fast-paced trading environment with tight deadlines.
• Organizational Skills: Capable of managing multiple tasks, prioritizing effectively, and maintaining an organized workflow.
• Team Player: Collaborative and able to work effectively within a small, focused team and across different front office functions.
