Role & responsibilities

  • Responsible for manufacturing feasibility of drawings by studying tolerance, surface finish etc.
  • Prepare APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control plans documents, process plans, plant layout considering effective material handling.
  • Identifying & conceptualizing gauging requirements, feasibility and finalize the requirements, fixture requirement as per the drawing & 3D model and finalizing the techno-commercial alignment with supplier.
  • Preparation of cycle time in consideration tool & machining parameters as per the drawing & 3D model requirement, calculating machine requirement and finalizing techno-commercial alignment with supplier.
  • Plan, coordinate and timely execution of project milestones like DAP, Manufacturing, buy-off inspection, installation and process capability prove out in close coordination with the supplier and in alignment with customer timeline.
  • Lead in new product development & new launch programs.
  • Prepare Cost Estimation Worksheet(CEW) for new RFQs / estimate input data (CT, no of setups, MC requirements, budgetary quotes from supplier,SPM) required for preparation of CEW.
  • Understand ,Validate and decide on Statement of Requirements(SOR) / Specifications of customer in consultation with in-house CFT and with customer technical team
  • Maintain balance between customer, employee and financial satisfaction by maximizing facility/department Performance Indicators to align to
  • Company's Stepping Stool of Success Strategy, Maintain department 5S requirements.
  • Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
  • Lead development of process flows, process sheets, FMEAs, tool lists and control plans.
  • Recognize and resolve process related difficulties with current and future projects.
  • Assist in the preparations of quotations, Participate in Customer Focus Meetings.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Good experience in a machining or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of CNC machine setting / Programming, process capability, statistical process control tools.
  • Experience of cycle time estimation for various manufacturing operations, Process planning of auto parts such as Gears/ Shafts/ aluminum housing etc. along with knowledge of cutting tools/ fixture etc.
  • With preferably knowledge of Excel, Autocad / Solidegde / SP.
