Job description

The Technical Service Engineer is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electronic hardware at both system and chip level. This includes troubleshooting faults, replacing defective components, and ensuring reliable operation of equipment. The role involves on-site and in-house service, preventive maintenance, and customer technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware faults at component and chip level on PCs, laptops, industrial controllers, and other electronics.
  • Perform soldering, desoldering, and replacement of integrated circuits (ICs), SMD components, and other hardware parts.
  • Use diagnostic tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, BGA rework station, etc.) for fault identification and repair.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and testing to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Maintain detailed service reports and repair records.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers on hardware-related issues.
  • Collaborate with R&D and quality teams to improve product performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma/Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in hardware repair, with proven chip-level servicing expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, schematics, and component testing.
  • Hands-on experience with precision repair tools and ESD-safe practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
