Job Description – Senior Accountant

Position: Senior Accountant

Employment Type: Full-Time / Regular

Location: Kankarbagh , Patna

Reporting To: Director / Finance Manager / Proprietor

1. Objective

To manage and oversee the complete accounting functions of the company independently, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and effective financial control in line with company policies and applicable laws.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Accounting & Bookkeeping

· Maintain day-to-day accounting of all financial transactions in Tally / Zoho or other accounting software.

· Prepare and verify vouchers, ledgers, and journal entries.

· Ensure proper classification of expenses, assets, and liabilities.

· Manage cash book, bank book, and reconciliation of accounts regularly.

B. Statutory Compliance

· Handle GST accounting, filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns, and reconciliation.

· Manage TDS computation, deduction, and filing of quarterly returns.

· Assist in income tax compliance, advance tax, and year-end audit requirements.

· Coordinate with auditors and consultants during statutory and internal audits.

C. Financial Reporting

· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

· Monitor accounts receivable/payable and ensure timely settlements.

· Provide financial analysis and MIS reports to management for decision-making.

D. Inventory & Asset Management

· Maintain records of stock, purchase, and consumption for accurate costing.

· Prepare periodic stock valuation and coordinate with warehouse or production team.

· Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedule.

E. Banking & Finance

· Handle bank transactions, loan statements, interest calculations, and fund management.

· Liaise with banks for documentation, reconciliation, and compliance requirements.

F. Independent Responsibility

· Capable of handling the company's entire accounting operations independently.

· Ensure all books and reports are ready for submission to management and government authorities without external support.

· Implement internal financial controls and improve accounting efficiency.

3. Qualifications & Requirements

· Education: B. Com / M. Com / Semi-Qualified CA / CMA (Preferred).

· Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in full-cycle accounting and financial management.

· Skills Required:

o Strong knowledge of Tally, GST, TDS, and Accounting Standards.

o Proficient in MS Excel and report generation.

o Analytical mindset, accuracy, and attention to detail.

o Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20, ₹25,000.00 per month
