Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Team Member. The role involves end-to-end procurement activities, supplier coordination, and ensuring compliance with quality and statutory requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in sourcing mechanical/electrical materials and a proven ability to drive cost efficiency without compromising quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor monthly receipts, consumption, rejections, GRN status, and inventory using ERP/system tools.
  • Review and manage non-moving stock (standard and non-standard items).
  • Coordinate with suppliers for procurement, enquiries, quotations, and negotiations to ensure best commercial and technical fit.
  • Prepare MIS reports, fund requirement projections, and ensure timely payments (including duty/GST).
  • Oversee purchase orders and requisition status, ensuring smooth material flow.
  • Manage documentation, compliance, and records for domestic and import items.
  • Ensure quality standards, ISO compliance, and statutory requirements are met by all vendors.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years in sourcing & procurement

  • Strong exposure to heavy equipment manufacturing industry preferred

  • Core Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Proficiency in ERP/MIS reporting
  • Knowledge of GST, import/export procedures, and statutory compliances
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability
  • Attention to detail and quality compliance orientation
