EY- Assurance – Consultant

As part of our EY-Assurance Team, the role requires the incumbent to proactively develop relationships with the global EY teams serving these engagements and supervise the delivery of GDS engagement management support activities.

The opportunity

We're looking for candidates with experience in carrying out routine substantive and controls-based assurance testing for the engagement teams during the financial year end for the Europe or US region.

Your key responsibilities

Clearly and accurately document the execution of specific review procedures as defined by the engagement teamsDemonstrate basic understanding of an industry or sector and be aware of technical issuesStay informed of current business/economic developments relevant to the client's businessRecognize potential review issues or unusual relationships from basic analysis of the financial statements and communicate them to the immediate supervisorCollaborate with seniors and engagement teams to set goals and responsibilitiesDeliver work in line with designated methodology, project plan or process in line with EY standardsDemonstrate professionalism, competence and clarity of communication when dealing with the team membersMaintain a strong client focus, be responsive to team requests, and develop/maintain productive working relationships with team contactsWhere appropriate, challenge procedures used in the past by team members and attempt to enhance review techniquesCompare efficiency of review procedures performed across different clients and suggest ideas for improvement.Contribute ideas/opinions to the assurance teams and listen/respond to other team members' viewsUse technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service deliveryPromote EY's ethical and professional standards, including data confidentiality, especially when dealing with outsiders

To qualify for the role, you must have

ACCA Freshers/Part Qualified ACCA/ CPA Freshers/ CPA Part Qualified0 to 1 year of relevant work experience (preferred)

Ideally, you'll also have

Interest in business and commerciality.Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
