Key Responsibilities:1. Packaging Material Development

  • Develop and evaluate primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging materials (blister, bottles, caps, cartons, shippers, labels, foils, etc.).
  • Coordinate with suppliers for development of new packaging materials as per product requirements.
  • Ensure packaging materials comply with regulatory, quality, and GMP standards.

2. Artwork & Specification Management

  • Prepare and review packaging material specifications (PMS).
  • Coordinate artwork creation, changes, and approval with regulatory and marketing teams.
  • Ensure artworks meet country-specific regulatory guidelines.

3. Packaging Trials & Validation

  • Conduct packaging line trials for new products and new packaging materials.
  • Prepare trial protocols and reports.
  • Evaluate packaging performance, compatibility, and stability requirements.

4. Vendor Management

  • Coordinate with vendors for sampling, development, and technical evaluation.
  • Review and approve supplier documents like COA, specifications, and test reports.
  • Support vendor audits when required.

5. Cost Optimization

  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction through material optimization, alternative materials, or design improvements.
  • Evaluate packaging material market trends and new technologies.

6. Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation (BOM, PMS, SOPs, DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ if applicable).
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, regulatory guidelines, and internal quality systems.
  • Support regulatory submissions with packaging data when required.

7. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Production, QA, QC, Procurement, and Regulatory teams.
  • Support troubleshooting during packaging operations.
  • Ensure smooth implementation of new packaging materials on shop floor.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
