QC Executive – Printing & Packaging

Department: Quality Control

Location: Navi Mumbai

Reporting To: Production / Quality Manager

Job Summary:

The QC Executive is responsible for ensuring that all printed and packaging materials meet the company's quality standards. This includes monitoring production processes, inspecting finished goods, identifying defects, and coordinating with the production team to ensure continuous improvement in product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect incoming raw materials (paper, inks, films, boards, etc.) to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Conduct in-process and final quality checks on printed sheets, cartons, labels, or pouches.
  • Monitor print parameters such as color registration, density, cutting accuracy, lamination quality, and finishing.
  • Maintain QC records, inspection reports, and rejection reports.
  • Identify and report any quality deviations or non-conformities to the production team.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO / GMP / customer quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the production and maintenance teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Support continuous improvement activities and suggest corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Assist in customer complaint analysis and documentation.
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and traceability of approved and rejected materials.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Good knowledge of offset / flexo / gravure printing processes.
  • Understanding of color standards (Pantone, densitometer readings, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
  • Good documentation and reporting skills.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Diploma / Graduate in Printing Technology or Science stream.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Quality Control in the printing & packaging industry.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, GMP, or BRC standards will be an added advantage.

Working Hours:

  • 12-hour shift (Day / Night rotation as applicable).

Salary:

  • As per industry standards / based on experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹14, ₹20,000.00 per month
