Job Title: Purchase Manager Raw Material (Nutraceuticals)

Location: Nagpur

Department: Procurement / Supply Chain

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials for nutraceutical products. The role involves vendor development, price negotiations, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining uninterrupted supply of raw materials to support production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for procurement of raw materials for nutraceutical products.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to optimize cost savings.
  • Ensure timely availability of materials without compromising on quality.
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance, and R&D teams to align raw material requirements.
  • Monitor market trends, new raw material sources, and alternate suppliers.
  • Maintain purchase records, MIS, and vendor performance data.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, quality, and company procurement policies.
  • Work closely with finance for budgeting and payment processing.

Key Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of nutraceutical raw materials procurement.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with cost optimization approach.
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes and regulatory compliances.
  • Proficiency in SAP / ERP systems (preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualification & Experience

  • Graduate / Post Graduate in Pharmacy / Life Sciences / Supply Chain / MBA (preferred).
  • 7–10 years of experience in raw material procurement, preferably in Nutraceuticals / Pharma / FMCG industry.
