Job Description: Senior Sales Engineer North

Company: Cosmos Pumps Pvt. Ltd.

Location: Delhi (Base)

Travel: 15 days per month (within Northern region)

Department: Sales & Marketing

Reporting To: Chief Sales Officer

Experience Required: Minimum 5 years in B2B sales, specifically in the industrial sector (pumps, mechanical products, or industrial machinery)

Key Responsibilities

1. B2B Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and pursue direct B2B sales opportunities across the Northern region.
  • Focus on industrial sectors including Sugar, Paper, and Process Industries.
  • Generate qualified leads, conduct client meetings, and close direct sales deals to meet revenue targets.
  • Develop and implement territory-specific strategies to expand Cosmos Pumps' customer base.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, competitors, and emerging trends.

2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Serve as the primary sales contact for all customer interactions from lead to deal closure.
  • Ensure a seamless buying experience through proactive communication and follow-up.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of potential customers and repeat business.

3. Technical Sales

  • Present and promote Cosmos Pumps' product range highlighting technical advantages and application suitability.
  • Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations to support customer decision-making.
  • Provide expert guidance in product selection based on industrial applications and specifications.
  • Coordinate with the technical team only when required for product selection—not for service support.

4. Sales Planning & Reporting

  • Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with company goals.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales leads, opportunities, and client interactions in CRM software.
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports on performance, pipeline, and market updates.
  • Participate in trade fairs, exhibitions, and promotional events to represent Cosmos Pumps.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal departments for order processing, pricing, and delivery coordination.
  • Support marketing initiatives aimed at lead generation and brand awareness.
  • Participate in tender documentation and proposal submissions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in direct B2B industrial sales (preferably pumps or mechanical equipment).
  • Strong technical aptitude to understand and explain complex products.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15 days per month across the Northern region.

  • Proven record in industrial product sales (pumps preferred).
