Position Overview

The Education Counselor plays a key role in guiding students and working professionals

toward suitable academic programs based on their educational background, career goals,

and aspirations. This role involves counseling prospective students, handling inquiries,

providing detailed program information, and assisting in the entire admission process.

The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, persuasive ability, and a

passion for helping learners make informed decisions about their education and career

development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Counseling & Engagement

Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and chats to counsel students about

available online programs.

Understand the candidates educational background, work experience, and career

goals to recommend suitable courses.

Guide students through the entire admission process from inquiry to enrollment.

Maintain a professional and empathetic approach while addressing student queries

and concerns.

2. Lead Management & Conversion

Follow up on leads generated through marketing campaigns, digital platforms, and

walk-ins.

Convert leads into admissions by building trust and providing accurate information.

Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly lead conversion reports.

Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly admission targets as defined by

management.

3. Admission Process Coordination

Coordinate with the documentation and verification teams for processing student

applications.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of applicant data in the CRM system.

Provide students with updates about application status, payment procedures, and

academic onboarding.

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling student information.

  1. Relationship Management

    Build long-term relationships with students and alumni to encourage referrals and

    renewals.

    Ensure high satisfaction levels by providing continuous support during pre- and

    post-admission phases.

    Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth communication between

    departments.
  2. Reporting & Performance Tracking

    Prepare daily and weekly MIS reports on inquiries, follow-ups, conversions, and

    revenue generated.

    Provide feedback to management on student concerns, course demand, and

    competitor trends.

    Contribute to strategy discussions for improving conversion rates and enhancing

    student experience.

    Key Skills & Competencies

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written).

    Strong sales and negotiation abilities with a student-centric mindset.

    Good understanding of higher education programs, online learning, and university

    admission processes.

    Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and work efficiently under pressure.

    Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office Suite, and online communication tools.

    A proactive and target-driven approach with a strong sense of ownership.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

Bachelors or Masters degree in any discipline (preferably in Business

Administration, Education, or Marketing).

Experience:

03 years of experience in counseling, tele-sales, or academic advisory roles.

Freshers with excellent communication skills are also encouraged to apply.

Language Proficiency:

English and Hindi (knowledge of regional languages will be an added advantage).

Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Daily Call Target: Minimum calls per day.

Talk Time: Minimum 120 minutes per day.

Lead Conversion Ratio: As per monthly target set by management.

Quality of Counseling: Accuracy, professionalism, and feedback rating from students.

Documentation Accuracy and Timeliness.

Work Environment

Work Mode: Office-based / Hybrid (as per company policy).

Working Days: 6 days a week (Sunday fixed off).

Timings: 10:00 AM 7:00 PM.
