Job Description
Take full ownership of on-ground labour operations once workers arrive in Nashik. This includes managing accommodation, transport, task allocation, digital systems, welfare, and daily execution across 10,000+ acres of grape farms around Nasik. You'll ensure that every grape farmer gets reliable, skilled labour — on time, every day.
Key Responsibilities
1.Build & Lead the Supervisor Force
Recruit, train, and manage a team of field supervisors/ mukkadams for pruning, tying, thinning, and other table grape operations.
Set daily targets, define escalation protocols, and ensure operational discipline on the ground.
2.Daily Task & Route Planning
Convert incoming farmer requests into daily job cards using our mobile Ops dashboard.
Allocate labourers, tools, and transport in the most efficient way — minimising idle time and travel.
3.Logistics, Camps & Welfare
Run labour camps end-to-end — stay, sanitation, food, and safety.
Coordinate safe, daily transport between farms; partner with transporters as needed.
4.Quality Control & Safety Enforcement
Implement SOPs for pruning, chemical spraying, and tool usage.
Conduct weekly safety briefings and skill refreshers in coordination with the agronomy team.
Investigate incidents and lead root-cause resolutions.
5.Reporting & Insights
Maintain daily dashboards: task completion vs plan, absenteeism, cost per acre, and team productivity.
Track labour retention and satisfaction; relay insights to sourcing and leadership teams.
Requirements
5+ years of experience managing large, on-ground labour teams in vineyards, agri ops, and packhouses.
Strong grip on grape farming cycles, especially forward and foundational pruning operations in Nashik.
Proven skills in multi-location field management, transport scheduling, and workforce digital tools.
Fluent in Marathi and Hindi; culturally rooted and respected in tribal belts.
Problem-solver mindset — ready to jump on a bike and fix issues in real time, any hour.
