Role Overview

As Assistant Manager – Estimation (E&I), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial and technical success of large-scale water infrastructure projects. This position demands a deep understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems, cost optimization strategies, and the ability to translate complex tender requirements into accurate, competitive proposals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Techno-Commercial Proposals: Prepare detailed and optimized techno-commercial offers for the E&I scope of Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Recycle, and Reuse projects.
  • Tender Analysis & Cost Estimation: Interpret tender specifications and project inputs to develop accurate cost estimates, ensuring competitiveness without compromising quality.
  • Engineering Documentation: Create basic engineering packages including P&IDs and other E&I documentation required for project execution.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain and expand the vendor database for electrical and automation components. Liaise with suppliers to gather pricing, technical specs, and delivery timelines.
  • Client & Consultant Engagement: Participate in technical discussions and meetings with clients and consultants to clarify scope, present solutions, and address queries.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with proposal, design, and execution teams to ensure alignment between estimation and actual project delivery.
  • Project Scale: Handle estimation for large-scale projects exceeding 70 Cr, ensuring precision and strategic foresight in planning and budgeting.

Skills & Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of MCC, PLC, cabling, instrumentation design and estimation
  • Experience in process and proposal departments for E&I
  • Proven ability to manage high-value, complex projects
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in cost optimization and value engineering
