Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead Generation & Client Acquisition

  2. Identify potential clients (importers/exporters, manufacturers, retailers, etc.)

  3. Research target markets, industries, and shipping lanes
  4. Cold calling, attending trade shows, and networking to find leads
  5. Prepare proposals and presentations tailored to clients logistics needs

  6. Customer Relationship Management

  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients

  8. Act as the liaison between clients and internal operations teams
  9. Provide logistics consultation and custom freight solutions

  10. Sales Strategy & Target Achievement

  11. Set sales targets and develop plans to meet them

  12. Negotiate rates and contracts with customers
  13. Analyze competition and market trends to refine sales tactics

  14. Operational Coordination

  15. Work closely with operations teams to ensure delivery of promised services

  16. Understand various transport modes (air, sea, road, rail) and how they impact customer needs
  17. Provide quotes, track shipments, and assist in troubleshooting delivery issues when needed

  18. Product & Service Development

  19. Collaborate with internal teams to design new services or improve existing ones

  20. Recommend technology or process improvements based on customer feedback

  21. Market & Industry Analysis

  22. Stay updated on international trade regulations, Incoterms, customs procedures, etc.

  23. Monitor global trade trends, shipping routes, and freight rates
  24. Suggest new markets or trade lanes for expansion

  25. Reporting & Forecasting

  26. Track KPIs like revenue growth, client retention, conversion rates

  27. Prepare sales forecasts and monthly/quarterly reports for leadership
