Overview The Salesforce Data Cloud Engineer plays a critical role in our organization by implementing and managing data-centric solutions on the Salesforce Data Cloud platform. This position is vital for ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and usability across various business units. With a deep understanding of Salesforce technologies and cloud systems, this engineer will design, create, and maintain scalable data architectures. Their expertise will contribute significantly to leveraging data as an asset, enhancing business intelligence, and driving strategic decision-making. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key, as this role functions as a bridge between data engineering, analytics, and business operations. Ideal candidates will possess strong technical skills, a thirst for innovation, and a commitment to ensuring optimal data performance. Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement data integration solutions using Salesforce Data Cloud.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into data models.
  • Maintain and optimize data pipelines to ensure high performance and reliability.
  • Execute and oversee ETL processes to improve data accuracy and accessibility.
  • Conduct data quality assessments and implement measures to enhance data integrity.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data-related issues within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide actionable business insights.
  • Develop and document data standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Manage and enforce security protocols for sensitive data across the cloud.
  • Participate in system upgrades and release validations for new Salesforce features.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to team members on data-related tasks.
  • Create and maintain architectural diagrams and documentation for data flows.
  • Implement data governance practices to ensure compliance with data policies.
  • Evaluate new data technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the data engineering team.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce Data Cloud and its capabilities.
  • Proficient in SQL and related database technologies.
  • Experience with ETL tools and data integration techniques.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts and practices.
  • Knowledge of APIs and integration methods.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications in Salesforce or cloud technologies are preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data privacy regulations and standards.
