Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our millet-based food product manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will ensure production targets are met with adherence to quality, safety, and efficiency standards, while effectively managing the production workforce and coordinating with other departments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet set output targets.

  • Ensure availability and timely usage of raw materials (e.g., millets) and packaging materials as per production schedules.

  • Oversee the processing, roasting, mixing, and packaging operations of millet-based products.

  • Allocate tasks and manage shift scheduling of production team members.

  • Collaborate with the QA/QC team to monitor and uphold product quality throughout the production process.

  • Monitor machinery performance, escalate issues, and ensure timely maintenance and repairs.

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in compliance with FSSAI standards and internal food safety protocols.

  • Implement and enforce health and safety measures across the production unit.

  • Document daily production volumes, wastage, downtimes, and maintain accurate shift reports.

  • Communicate production status and performance metrics to senior management.

  • Assist in new product trials and implementation in collaboration with the R&D team.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and minimize operational losses.

  • Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, Quality, and Dispatch departments to ensure uninterrupted workflow.

Required Qualifications:
  • Educational Background:
    Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in food processing or manufacturing (millet/grain-based products preferred

  • Technical & Regulatory Knowledge:

    • Familiarity with FSSAI regulations and food hygiene practices.

    • Experience in supervising production workflows and maintaining equipment.
