This is a remote position, so you'll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

GoDaddy's Global Security Products group is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join and lead our backend development team. Our backend team is responsible for multiple products, integrations, and various APIs. We are rebuilding all our products and migrating to AWS. If you are interested in leading and enabling a next generation platform, this will be a great opportunity.

Your experience should include...

• 6+ years of experience in software development, including at least 1 year in a managerial or leadership role
• Proven experience in managing large-scale software projects and leading cross-functional teams
• Strong foundation in software engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices, with a focus on building operational excellence
• Extensive experience in programming languages such as Go, Python, PHP, and Java, with extensive experience in API integration
• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools, including JIRA and Confluence

You might also have...

• Experience in leveraging experiments to get validated learnings from changes to the product
• Done large scale software migrations from legacy systems to more modern architectures
• Working with global teams in multiple locations which require asynchronous communications and processes
