Job Title Executive / Sr. Executive - QC

Location - Dhayari, Pune, Maharashtra

Qualification - M. Sc. (Microbiology)

Experience years relevant exp.

Pref Industry - Bio Pesticide / Fertilizers/ Agriculture / Microbial Lab /FMCG / Pharmaceutical

Key Skills

Microbiological Testing: Expertise in CFU count, serial dilution, contamination checks, and microbial identification.

Physico-Chemical Analysis: pH, moisture content, viscosity, specific gravity, and stability testing.

Analytical Methods: Ability to conduct assay and potency testing for bio fertilizers /bio pesticides.

Method Validation & Calibration: Experience in analytical method validation and equipment calibration.

Sampling & Inspection: Knowledge of sampling procedures for finished goods and packaging materials.

Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with FCO, Insecticide Act & ISO guidelines.

GMP/GLP Practices: Understanding of Good Manufacturing and Laboratory Practices for biological products.

Data Management: Accurate recordkeeping in QC registers, COA preparation, and data integrity compliance.

Roles & Responsibilities-

1. Finished Goods Quality Testing:

  • Conduct routine and batch-wise quality testing of finished bio-pesticide and bio-fertilizer products as per approved specifications and SOPs.
  • Perform physical, chemical, and microbiological analysis (e.g., viable count, CFU, pH, moisture, contamination, active ingredient assay).
  • Validate product stability and shelf-life under defined storage conditions.

2. Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain all testing records, batch-wise FG QC reports, and certificates of analysis (COA).
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry in QC registers & SAP.
  • Prepare and submit test summaries, deviation reports, and non-conformance reports (NCRs) to the QC Manager.

3. Process & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with FCO (Fertilizer Control Order), Insecticide Act, ISO, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in internal audits, regulatory inspections, and customer audits.
  • Monitor and ensure proper calibration of laboratory instruments and equipment.

4. Quality Improvement:

  • Identify recurring quality issues, RCA and coordinate with production and QA for corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Support in development and validation of new analytical methods and specifications.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for product quality and process efficiency.

5. Safety & Housekeeping:

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant laboratory environment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines for handling microbial cultures, chemicals, and bio-pesticide samples.
