Job Summary

The
Helpdesk Engineer
at Geojit Technologies plays a crucial role in providing
technical support and assistance
to end-users across branches and the head office. This role ensures that IT-related issues and inquiries are resolved in a
timely, professional, and efficient manner
, enabling smooth day-to-day business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for branches or internal users from the head office seeking technical assistance via phone, email, chat, or in person.
  • Identify, analyze, and diagnose issues related to hardware, software, networks, and applications.
  • Redirect unresolved or complex issues to higher-level support teams or specialized personnel.
  • Provide basic user account administration, including password resets and account unlocks.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, printers, and peripherals.
  • Assist in tracking IT assets and maintaining inventory records.
  • Generate reports on recurring issues and support trends for proactive resolution.
  • Provide Selfie Support for branches, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Selfie/Back-office systems.
  • Deliver connectivity support for branches and coordinate with service providers for issue resolution.
  • Provide back-office application support.
  • Manage antivirus software and ensure systems are secure.
  • Provide hardware support and coordinate with AMC vendors as required.
  • Provide Voice Logger and DCOB support.
  • Handle CRM installation and coordinate with the Head Office support team.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience, preferably in financial services / stock market environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science / information technology or equivalent, from an accredited college or university.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to work in a full-time, office-based night shift role.
