Sales Engineer:

Department: Sales & Business Development

Reports To: Sales Manager

Location: Pune

Job Summary:

The Sales Engineer (Process Automation) is responsible for driving sales growth by promoting,

demonstrating, and selling automation products, systems, and solutions to clients in manufacturing and

process industries. The role bridges the gap between technical expertise and customer requirements,

ensuring optimal solutions that enhance efficiency, productivity, and performance for the client.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue objectives.

2. Conduct customer visits, presentations, and technical discussions.

3. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.

4. Coordinate with internal departments (engineering, proposals, production, logistics, and service

teams) to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

5. Submit weekly/monthly sales reports & forecasts.

6. Preparation & submission of weekly sales visit report to identify business opportunities.

7. Attending training sessions arranged for the Process Automation range of products.

8. Preparing quarterly plan for new customer acquisition.

Performance metrics:

1. Sales Target Achievement - % of sales revenue achieved vs. assigned targets.

2. Key Account Growth - revenue growth from top/key customers.

3. Training & Development Hours - investment in team skill development.

4. Profitability of Secured Projects (margin achieved vs. planned).
