Job Summary:

The Accounts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with statutory regulations, and maintaining strong internal controls. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting activities, finalization of accounts, and supporting management in financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management & Accounting

  • Supervise and manage daily accounting operations (AP, AR, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliation).
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Ensure timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
  • Handle statutory audits, internal audits, and coordinate with auditors.

2. Taxation & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
  • File periodic returns and manage tax assessments.
  • Maintain proper documentation for all statutory filings.

3. Budgeting & MIS

  • Prepare annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor budget utilization and provide variance analysis.
  • Generate periodic MIS reports for management review.

4. Cash Flow & Banking

  • Monitor daily cash flow and fund management.
  • Coordinate with banks for transactions, facilities, and reconciliations.
  • Manage vendor payments and collection follow-ups.

5. Team Management

  • Lead, train, and supervise the accounting team.
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all accounting processes.

6. Other Responsibilities

  • Support management in financial planning and cost control.
  • Implement and improve internal financial controls and accounting systems.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and principles (Tally / ERP / SAP knowledge preferred).
  • Expertise in GST, TDS, and compliance matters.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA / MBA (Finance)
  • Experience: Minimum 5–10 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
