Site Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Site Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations at the project site. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in vendor and subcontractor bill processing, SAP data entry, statutory compliance verification, and project accounting specific to infrastructure or construction projects.

Role & responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day accounting and financial transactions at the project site.
• Perform SAP data entry and ensure timely posting of all site-related transactions.
• Process and verify vendor, subcontractor, and hire bills in coordination with the site and head office teams.
• Check and ensure statutory compliance (GST, TDS, PF, ESI, etc.) of subcontractors and vendors.
• Prepare and process Fund Requisition (FR) and coordinate with the HO for timely fund flow.
• Conduct site stock verification and fixed asset verification at regular intervals.
• Maintain accurate records of project expenses, petty cash, and site advances.
• Support in preparation of MIS reports, reconciliation statements, and audit documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and internal control systems.
• Liaise with project, procurement, and HO accounts teams for smooth financial operations.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
• Experience: 810 years of experience in site accounting within the infrastructure, construction, or EPC industry.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in SAP (FI/MM modules).

• Sound knowledge of Excel, Tally, and other accounting tools.

• Familiar with statutory compliance related to subcontractors.

• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and reporting skills.

• Ability to work independently at project sites and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
