Dasra's bold aspiration is a transformed India where a billion thrive with dignity and equity. Established in 1999, Dasra is India's leading strategic philanthropy foundation, working with philanthropists and high impact social entrepreneurs to bring together knowledge, funding and talent as a catalyst for social change. Dasra nurtures strategic philanthropy for India and focuses on impactful programs such as empowering adolescent girls, urban sanitation, inclusive economies and child protection and care. With 21 years of experience in the sector, a depth of knowledge gained from working with over 1,000 non-profits and having brought $100 million in funding to organizations - Dasra drives collaborative action to accelerate social change in India.

Dasra embraces diversity across people and communities through multiplicity in composition integrated with structures, culture and policies, enhancing inclusion and belonging for all in letter and spirit. We envision a team that includes people across caste, religion, gender, economic status, geography, disability and other underrepresented communities, supported by organizational structures that enable collective, transparent and fair decision making, guided by policies that facilitate growth and authenticity within an environment of openness and listening.

We believe that GEDI in our institutional and programmatic endeavours will enhance, drive and accelerate social impact and social change through an integration of the worldviews of the most marginalized, recognition of their vulnerabilities, rights and potentials and through prioritization of their needs.

About the Rebuild Team

The Rebuild India Fund aims to support the most vulnerable communities across India, and the NGOs that work with them, by giving them the power to serve meaningfully and the flexibility to run their organizations as they see fit. We will do this by funding 100 locally led, community-rooted NGOs every year with 5-year unrestricted grants, backed by need-based multi-year capacity-building support.

The fund works with NGOs, philanthropists, and sector intermediaries to amplify the voices of leaders from the community and shift power dynamics in grant-making. Having already committed $17.1M to 274 NGOs and now expanding to 500 NGOs, we are excited to move into this new and unique chapter of our work and build the team that will enable it.

We are looking for driven, passionate, and empathetic individuals who are committed to supporting locally led, community-rooted NGOs across India, who are excited by the idea of creating a path-breaking movement that challenges the status quo, and who have a burning desire to see an equitable India.

What You Will Do

As an Analyst, you will work across teams and contribute to high-impact initiatives:

  • Identify potential donors through research, referrals, and collaboration with internal teams and sector partners.

  • Support donor account planning by understanding donor interests, long-term goals, and opportunities within the sector.

  • Manage donor and CRM data, run analyses, and help strengthen our internal processes and data systems.

  • Assist in the end to end donor engagement process, including identifying funding opportunities, supporting donor meetings, drafting proposals, and following through on next steps.

  • Collaborate with multiple teams to curate learning resources and engagement opportunities that deepen donors' understanding of strategic philanthropy and grassroots giving.

  • Contribute to insights and storytelling by helping craft compelling presentations, reports, and communication materials for funders, NGOs, and internal stakeholders.

  • Build strong relationships with team members, NGO partners, and funders through clear communication and a collaborative mindset.

Who We Are Looking For

We work at the intersection of philanthropy, social impact, and strategy, and we are seeking someone who is excited to explore all three. You are likely a great fit if you are:

  • 0 to 2 years into your career, with internships, volunteer experience, or academic projects that show initiative and curiosity.

  • A strong communicator, clear, confident, and able to listen actively.

  • Enthusiastic about the sector and motivated to contribute meaningfully.

  • Relationship oriented, energized by interacting with people, and naturally collaborative.

  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and willing to take ownership of your work.

  • Analytical and resourceful, with an ability to break down problems and work through them step by step.

  • Eager to learn, open to feedback, and excited to grow in a fast-paced environment.

Think you have what it takes but not sure you check every box? Apply to the role anyway. We'd love the opportunity to determine whether you could be a great fit.
