We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join our Mechanical team in the role of JE/AE at our Kharagpur Plant- RVPL.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operation & Maintenance: Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on HBA line equipment such as batch annealing furnaces, hydraulic systems, pumps, heat exchangers, valves, actuators, blowers, and associated support systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify, analyze, and resolve mechanical faults or failures in the HBA line, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Equipment Upgrades & Modifications: Support technical upgrades and machine modifications to improve process efficiency, reliability, and safety standards. Implement design modifications as per process and product improvement needs.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed maintenance, breakdown, and preventive action records. Prepare and update SOPs/SMPs/EOPs for all HBA line mechanical equipment. Ensure compliance with ISO, OHSAS, and other quality management documentation.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Perform root cause analysis for mechanical failures or process deviations; recommend and execute corrective/preventive actions.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma Mech
  • 2–6 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance/engineering for batch annealing or process lines (preferably in steel industry/cold rolling mill).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, pneumatic actuators, and rotating equipment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
  • Good understanding of safety and quality management systems (ISO, OHSAS).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication; basic SAP or CMMS familiarity is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work in shifts and during planned/unplanned shutdowns as required.
