Job Description :

Packaging Development Support:

  • Assist in the team with the Development of packaging solutions for new products
  • Work closely with the R&D, marketing, and production teams to understand packaging needs and ensure timely delivery of packaging solutions.
  • Collaborate with the CFT to ensure packaging aligns with product requirements and brand guidelines.
  • Conduct basic testing of packaging prototypes for durability, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.
  • Should have a understanding of basic sourcing principles, Vendor onboarding, Vendor sourcing, Price negotiation and aligned procurement activities
  • Conduct regular quality checks on packaging materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Perform FEMA on the New developments and should be able to assist the team with the technical inputs
  • Should be able to work on the multiple pack formats and on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Visit the inhouse lab facility for the conducting the regular testing for the repeat order and New Product Development
  • Should have a basic idea about the packaging artworks, regulation and be able to assess and approve the Primary/Secondar and tertiary pack artworks
  • Understanding the KLDs, Technical drawings and able to interpret the technical documents and test reports.
  • Should have a understanding of the packing machineries and should be able to troubleshoot the technical problems encountered during production
  • Ready to travel to the vendor's places for the online approvals and trials
  • Should have a thorough understanding of colours and printing principles, as offset, flexo, gravure, screen.
  • Must have an basic understanding of the IBM, ISBM, EBM moulding techniques and the other decoration techniques.
  • Good at the packaging documentation part, Preparing SOP, STP, BOMs, CAPA, RCA and record keeping of test records

Documentation and Reporting and Supplier coordination

  • Maintain accurate records of packaging tests, quality control inspections, and findings.
  • Assist in preparing reports on packaging performance, quality issues, and improvements.
  • Support the implementation of corrective actions in response to quality failures.

Supplier Coordination:

  • Assist in the selection of packaging suppliers and monitor their performance.
  • Support the management of packaging inventory and procurement activities.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the R&D, marketing, and production teams to understand packaging needs and ensure timely delivery of packaging solutions.
  • Participate in meetings to discuss improvements or changes to packaging designs or quality procedures.
