Role & responsibilities

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for automation, reporting, and bulk operations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 features (OneDrive, Teams, compliance, retention).
  • Experience troubleshooting common migration issues

SharePoint Administration

  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online admin centre and Microsoft 365 tenant-level configuration.
  • Experience with site provisioning, permissions, and security.
  • Ability to optimize SharePoint libraries, views, and metadata structures for migrated content.

Migration Expertise

  • Hands-on experience with ShareGate Desktop for large-scale migrations.
  • Proven track record of file share SharePoint Online migrations.
  • Proven track record of SharePoint SharePoint migrations (on-prem to online, or tenant-to-tenant).
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint Online architecture, document libraries, and permissions model.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
  • Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage workloads independently and deliver under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications (Good to have)

  • Microsoft 365 Certifications (e.g., SharePoint Administrator Associate, Enterprise Administrator Expert).
  • Experience with other migration tools (SPMT, AvePoint, Metalogix) in addition to ShareGate.
  • Background in information governance and compliance within Microsoft 365.
