Job Title: Finance Controller

Hiring Entity: Communezen Ventures Private Limited

Location: Noida

Reporting To: Founders/CEO

Purpose & Scope

The Finance Controller will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, cost management, and strategic financial planning at the group level. This role plays a pivotal part in maintaining fiscal discipline, supporting decision-making, and driving profitability across all business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements and reports.

  • Ensure full compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead or support the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.

Provide insights and recommendations to aid strategic planning and business growth.

  • Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets.

  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, accounting standards, and all legal requirements.

  • Cost Control & Analysis

  • Monitor expenses, analyze budget variances, and identify cost-optimization opportunities.

  • Drive initiatives to achieve at least 3% cost savings against the approved budget.

  • Taxation

  • Ensure accurate and timely compliance with all Direct and Indirect Tax requirements, including Income Tax and GST.

  • Audit Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

  • Identify and implement process improvements based on audit findings.

  • Cash Flow Management

  • Oversee cash flow and working capital to ensure liquidity and timely fulfillment of financial obligations.

  • Accounting Operations

  • Supervise and guide the accounting team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in day-to-day financial transactions.

  • MCA Compliance

  • Liaise with the Company Secretary and ensure timely compliance with MCA and other statutory filings.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  1. Monthly cost information reports published by the 10th of every month for the preceding period.
  2. Timely completion of the annual budgeting process.
  3. Minimum 3% cost savings identified and implemented annually.
  4. 100% compliance with tax, audit, and statutory requirements.
  5. Effective internal control mechanisms ensuring zero fraud incidents.
  6. Identification and execution of financial process automation initiatives.

General Responsibilities

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the reporting authority from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience in financial leadership or similar roles.

Skills & Competencies

  1. Strong understanding of Income Tax, GST, and overall financial compliance framework.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  3. Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  4. Proven leadership and team management experience.
  5. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (preferred).
