Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operations and Maintenance professional to oversee and perform routine and preventive maintenance, ensure efficient operation of equipment and systems, and support safe and reliable facility operations. The role requires both technical knowledge and hands-on experience in troubleshooting, repair, and operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor equipment or facility systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical, HVAC, utilities, production lines).
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality and minimal downtime.
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of equipment and systems.
  • Maintain records of operations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Respond promptly to equipment faults or failures and perform necessary repairs or escalations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and address operational issues.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and regulations.
  • Support energy-saving initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
  • Assist with inventory control of maintenance materials, tools, and spare parts.
  • Provide input into maintenance planning and scheduling.
  • Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness in all operational and maintenance areas.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering/technical field.
  • Proven experience in operations and maintenance roles (2 years preferred).
  • Familiarity with tools, equipment, and procedures in the relevant industry.
  • Understanding of safety practices and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills e.g., MS Office.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Physical ability to work in demanding environments and respond to emergencies.

Working Conditions:

  • May involve shift work, on-call duties, and overtime.
  • Work may be performed in industrial, outdoor, or confined environments.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
