What you'll do

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Devops Expert to join our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions that ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud architecture, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve the reliability of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud architectures that ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems.
• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using best practices and industry standards, with a focus on site reliability engineering principles.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure cloud solutions are aligned with business objectives and contribute to the overall stability of our services.
• Monitor and optimize cloud performance, cost, and security to maintain high availability and robustness.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development teams, emphasizing SRE practices and methodologies.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends, and continuously improve the scalability and efficiency of our systems.
• Conduct regular assessments and audits of cloud environments to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations, and proactively address potential issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal impact on service quality.

What you bring

Strong understanding of software architecture and cloud infrastructure principles and best practices.

• Proven experience in designing, managing and optimizing cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Strong TCP/IP networking knowledge
• Strong Linux administration knowledge
• Excellent knowledge of Prometheus and the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for monitoring and logging.
• Excellent experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Good understanding of security and identity management in cloud environments.
• Earned at least one of the following certificates: Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Foundation.
• Other certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect are a plus.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Devops/SRE engineer or a similar role.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering and maintaining cloud-based solutions.

Meet your Team

SAP FSM SRE team is distributed team responsible for SRE. Is composed of DevOps infrastructure engineers and DevOps Developers located across Europe and India. Main tasks are related to AWS based infrastructure, security, Kubernetes orchestration, compliance and internal tooling .
