Job Purpose: Executive – Pass Section is responsible for issuing AEPs/ TAEPs/ ID card / CLMS to all airport stakeholders, visitor management, and regulatory compliance under the guidance of the Lead – Pass Section. The role ensures full compliance with all BCAS-issued guidelines on AEPs, coordinates the organization of AVSEC Awareness Training, and maintains up-to-date records of authorized signatories.

Operational Oversight:

Oversee and regulate the daily activities of the ID cell and Pass Section

Conduct shift handovers as per standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring detailed information transfer about ongoing events, incidents, risk areas, and personnel/site-related issues.

Monitor the discipline within the team, manage leave requests judiciously, and maintain sufficient staffing levels for uninterrupted operations.

Support for visitor access and management:

Issue TAEPs to all airport stakeholders under the supervision of the Pass Section Lead and CSO, in accordance with the AEP Guidelines issued by regulatory authority time to time. .

Facilitate the issuance of Airport Entry Passes (AEP), visitor access cards, and team member access cards as per requirements and authorizations.

Manage visitor access through applicable systems (AEP) and report any discrepancies to the Lead

Maintain accurate records of employees, contractor staff, agency staff, and visitors for efficient data management.

Assist in coordinating VIP movements to ensure seamless navigation and adherence to established protocols.

Compliance Monitoring:

Ensure compliance with BCAS and DGCA regulations and internal policies by conducting regular checks and audits.

Report any discrepancies or non-compliance issues to senior management for timely resolution.

Ensure Security Clearance and Security Programme records are maintained regularly.

Data Management and Reporting:

Ensure the availability and uptime of all IT equipment and necessary stationery for smooth operations.

Prepare regular reports on access control operations and compliance status for review by Lead - Pass Section.

Maintain up-to-date records of authorized signatories from all entities, including details of their Security Clearance and Security Programme.

Customer Service:

Serve as a point of contact for employees, contractors, and visitors regarding pass-related inquiries and issues.

Provide assistance and guidance to users on access control procedures and requirements.

Incident Reporting:

Report any incidents or security breaches related to access control to the relevant authorities and assist in preliminary investigations.

Document incidents accurately for compliance and review purposes.

Collaboration with Teams:

Work closely with security personnel, IT staff, and operations teams to facilitate effective access control and security measures.

Collaborate with other departments to support operational needs and resolve access-related issues.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify areas for improvement within the Pass Section and contribute suggestions to enhance operational efficiency and security.

Stay informed about best practices in access control and security management.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Certification in aviation security, aviation management or related field

Certification:

Preferred Aviation Security Management Certification from BCAS - Basic Avsec/ Screener

Physical Security Professional (PSP)

Work Experience:

5-10 years of experience in Security / Aviation Security. Must have knowledge of aviation security regulations, standards, and best practices

Required Physical Qualifications:

Visual accuracy - Eyesight shall be equal or better than 20/60 in both eyes without glasses

lenses or equal or better that 20 / 20 in one eye and 20 / 30 in the other when using glasses

or contact lenses. Adequate color perception shall be required.

Hearing – Hearing loss in each ear should be less than 30 dB when tested by audio graph for frequencies below 2000 Hz.

Speech – There shall be clear ability to communicate orally efficiently and effectively.

Movement-of-crisis communication necessitates that screening personnel be free from any

pronounced speed impediment.

Sense of smell – Security personnel shall have the ability to sense Oduor

Deportment & Appearance - Security personnel must demonstrate a high standard of civility,

deportment, appearance and sobriety as well as offer the public all appropriate courtesies.
