Job Description: Android Stability Engineer

Role Summary:

We are seeking an Android Low-Level Stability Engineer to diagnose complex system issues at the foundation of the Android OS. You will focus on stability and performance of critical subsystemsincluding power management, battery life, DDR memory, storage I/O, and thermal controlwhere the Android framework interacts directly with our custom silicon and kernel drivers. Your work ensures hardware resources are managed efficiently and reliably.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors/Master's in Computer Science, EE, or related field.
  • 7 to 15Yrs years of experience in Android system-level debugging or development.
  • Deep understanding of Android HALs (Hardware Abstraction Layers), particularly power, battery, thermal, and memory management.
  • Proficiency with low-level debugging: Perfetto/Systrace, kernel ftrace, and analysis of kernel wake locks and power states.
  • Strong programming/scripting skills in C, C++, or Python.
