About the Role :

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with cloud-native data tools, ETL processes, and data modeling to enable efficient data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL workflows on GCP.

- Develop scalable data architectures using BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.

- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable data availability.

- Implement and maintain data quality, monitoring, and governance frameworks.

- Optimize performance and cost of data workflows and queries.

- Manage and maintain data ingestion from multiple structured and unstructured sources.

- Ensure security, compliance, and best practices in data management.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 38 years of experience as a Data Engineer.

- Strong hands-on expertise in GCP data services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, Cloud Functions, etc.).

- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation and automation.

- Experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL frameworks.

- Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform preferred).

- Familiarity with Airflow, Kafka, or other orchestration tools is a plus.

- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Good to Have :

- Experience with machine learning pipelines or data analytics tools.

- Exposure to other cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

- Understanding of data security and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).

Education :

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
