Role & responsibilities

  • Sr. Process Design Engineer will be involved in Oil, Gas & Energy projects design of Fired Heaters, Reformers, Process skids mounted packages, Gas processing Plants, Incineration packages, etc .
  • To take responsibility over the design activities and take responsibility of the basic and detailed Process engineering, as well as the follow up of the schedules.
  • Carry out the analysis and design of processes, equipment and/or instrumentation according to the requirements of the facility and the client, optimizing said design to facilitate the work of other disciplines.
  • Definition of the conceptual and basic engineering of the installation and/or equipment required by the client.
  • To manage the preparation of data sheets, specifications and other documents of Process engineering discipline present in the project, including the necessary calculations.
  • Guarantee, promote and maintain adequate communication with the other engineering disciplines.
  • Control and follow-up of Process Engineering documentation (Customer Requirements, deliverables to Customer and Vendor documentation).
  • To guarantee the proper management of the approval cycle of the Process Engineering documents both with the Clients and the Vendors.
  • With this purpose of proper management of the documentation, proprietary ERP systems shall be the base of these tools.
  • To manage and guarantee the preparation of the necessary Process Engineering documentation (technical, scope of supply, scope of works, ) for the procurement process (MRQ, technical annexes, VDDR document, ).
  • Analyze the conformity and, where appropriate, technically validate the offers of the suppliers in relation to the purchases of the project of refractory, pumps, blowers, burners and other equipment that is required.
  • Guarantee, promote and maintain adequate communication with suppliers when defining and resolving the supply of the referred equipment and materials.
  • To manage and guarantee the technical tabulations of the Technical Offers received from the vendors of the referred equipment and materials.
  • In coordination with the Commercial Department, participate in the generation of proposals for Clients to the extent required, as well as participation during this phase in meetings with Clients and Suppliers when required.
  • To manage the assistance during the commissioning and start-up activities at Sites.
  • Report to the Engineering Director of the progress of engineering works as well as time and time deviations from the established objectives.
  • To travel internationally when and as required.

About Your profile:

  • Master or Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering Bachelor (degree). Preferably Degree in Chemicals, Thermal Processes, Energy.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in similar functions.
  • Expertise as Process Engineer within International Projects.
  • Experience in companies providing engineering services to the Oil and Gas, Chemical, Refining or Petrochemical Industry.
  • At least six years of experience as Process Engineer at site related to industrial plants.
  • Expertise and experience in the applicable software of the discipline (Aspen, Hysis) and others software as Autocad and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge and experience of other common softwares as Autocad and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Expertise with ASME, API codes, and other engineering applicable codes.
  • Professional English level.
