Job Description:

Astral Limited is hiring a Sr. Manager Maintenance to lead the maintenance operations at our chemical manufacturing facility in Kanpur (Rania). The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in both electrical and mechanical systems, with a strong understanding of chemical plant machinery, utilities, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage preventive and breakdown maintenance of all plant equipment and utilities.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of electrical systems, motors, control panels, and instrumentation.
  • Oversee mechanical maintenance of reactors, mixers, pumps, compressors, and other chemical plant machinery.
  • Plan and execute maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Coordinate with production, safety, and engineering teams for seamless operations.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and safety standards.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor coordination.

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong expertise in both electrical and mechanical maintenance in chemical plants.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, and automation systems.
  • Familiarity with utility systems like boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and air compressors.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage contractors/vendors effectively.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and statutory compliance (e.g., ISO, GPCB, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
  • Candidates with strong Mechanical & electrical experience and relevant qualifications will be considered.

Preferred Industry Experience:

  • Chemical manufacturing, Paints, adhesives, epoxy, emulsion, or construction chemicals.
  • Experience in continuous process industries will be an added advantage.
