About The Opportunity
Opportunity in the IT Services & Enterprise IT Operations sector focused on IT Service Management (ITSM) and Configuration Management. The role supports large-scale on-premise and cloud infrastructure estates by designing, implementing, and stabilizing ServiceNow CMDB, discovery, and service-mapping capabilities to deliver accurate configuration data for IT operations, security, and asset teams.

This is an on-site role based in India supporting enterprise-class CMDB programs, discovery pipelines, and integrations across hybrid environments.

ServiceNow CMDB Developer

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain ServiceNow CMDB data models, class maps, and CI relationships to ensure accurate configuration items and topology.
  • Develop and tune ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping patterns; manage MID Server deployment and troubleshooting for reliable discovery across networks.
  • Implement integration solutions (REST/SOAP/IntegrationHub) and import pipelines (Import Sets, Transform Maps) to onboard external CI data sources and reconcile conflicts.
  • Create scripting solutions using GlideRecord, business rules, script includes and scheduled jobs to automate CMDB population, normalization, and health checks.
  • Define and apply CMDB reconciliation, data quality rules and CMDB Health dashboards; perform root-cause analysis for data drift and completeness issues.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Asset teams to onboard new CI classes, build authority files, and support audits and change processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven hands-on experience implementing and operating ServiceNow CMDB and Discovery in enterprise environments.
  • Strong scripting experience in ServiceNow (GlideRecord, business rules, script includes) and familiarity with import/transform processes.
  • Experience integrating CMDB with ITOM/ITSM, security and asset systems via APIs and middleware.
