About the Role

We are seeking an experienced
Senior Java Backend Engineer
to design and develop
scalable, cloud-native backend systems
on
AWS
. You'll work on microservices architecture, API development, and high-performance backend components that power enterprise applications.

Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS
, and enjoy solving complex engineering problems, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities
Backend Development

  • Design, develop, and deploy
    microservices
    and
    REST APIs
    using
    Java (Spring Boot)
    .
  • Build high-performance, fault-tolerant backend systems that scale seamlessly in
    cloud environments
    .
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following
    SOLID
    and
    clean architecture principles
    .
  • Conduct
    code reviews
    , enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers.
  • Ensure
    secure, optimized, and reusable service components
    .

Cloud & DevOps

  • Design and deploy
    cloud-native solutions
    using
    AWS services
    (EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.).
  • Automate deployment pipelines using
    Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub Actions
    , or similar CI/CD tools.
  • Manage
    containerized applications
    using
    Docker
    and
    Kubernetes
    .
  • Monitor and optimize application performance using tools like
    CloudWatch
    ,
    Datadog
    , or
    Splunk
    .

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Work closely with
    frontend, product, and DevOps teams
    to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Participate in
    architecture discussions
    and
    design reviews
    to ensure technical excellence.
  • Maintain
    technical documentation
    and share best practices within the team.

Required Skills

  • Strong expertise in
    Java 8+
    ,
    Spring Boot
    , and
    Microservices Architecture
    .
  • Solid experience in
    AWS Cloud Services
    – EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, API Gateway, etc.
  • Proficiency in
    REST API development
    ,
    asynchronous processing
    , and
    message queues (Kafka/SQS)
    .
  • Hands-on with
    SQL/NoSQL databases
    (MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB).
  • Knowledge of
    CI/CD pipelines
    ,
    containerization (Docker)
    , and
    infrastructure management
    .
  • Excellent debugging, optimization, and
    troubleshooting skills
    .

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Computer Science
    , Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years
    of backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
  • 3+ years
    of hands-on experience in
    AWS-based deployments
    .
  • Familiarity with
    event-driven architectures

    API gateways

    microservices communication patterns

  • Experience working in
    Agile/Scrum
    environments.
