Job description of E-Commerce Executive ❖ Job title: E-Commerce Executive ❖ Department: E-Commerce ❖ Geography covered: Corporate office, Manufacturing Unit. ❖ Reports to: NSM-National Sales Manager ❖ Matrix: Director ❖ Summary: The E-Commerce Executive plays a critical role in driving online sales growth for our FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) brands. You will be responsible for managing various aspects of our e-commerce operations, from product listings and website optimization to order fulfilment and customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of the FMCG market and the ability to leverage data insights to develop and execute successful e-commerce strategies. ❖ Key Responsibilities:
• Manage product listings and ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
• Optimize website content and user experience for FMCG product categories.
• Implement and manage e-commerce marketing campaigns.
• Analyse sales data and identify opportunities for growth.
• Oversee order fulfilment process and ensure timely deliveries.
• Manage customer inquiries and complaints through e-commerce channels.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, logistics) to achieve e-commerce goals.
• Stay updated on e-commerce trends and best practices in the FMCG industry. ❖ Key Results Areas (KRAs):
• Increase online sales of FMCG products by X% year-on-year.
• Improve website conversion rate by Y%.
• Achieve a customer satisfaction rating of Z% on e-commerce platforms.
• Reduce order fulfilment errors by W%.
• Develop and implement X successful e-commerce marketing campaigns.
• Increase brand awareness for FMCG products on e-commerce platforms.
• Optimize product listings to achieve a top ranking for relevant keywords.
• Streamline the e-commerce customer journey for a seamless buying experience.
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures in e-commerce operations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with e-commerce partners (marketplaces, logistics providers). ❖ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
• Online sales revenue for FMCG products.
• Website traffic, conversion rate, and bounce rate.
• Customer satisfaction score on e-commerce platforms.
• Order fulfilment accuracy and lead time.
• Click-through rate (CTR) and conversion rate for e-commerce marketing campaigns.
• Brand mentions and social media engagement on e-commerce platforms.
• Search engine ranking for target keywords for FMCG products.
• Customer reviews and feedback on e-commerce platforms.
• Cost per acquisition (CPA) and return on investment (ROI) for e-commerce campaigns.
• Number of successful partnerships established with e-commerce stakeholders. ❖ Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in e-commerce or digital marketing (FMCG experience a plus).
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, data-driven decision making, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, project management skills, experience with e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.), basic knowledge of SEO and SEM principles.
• Knowledge: Understanding of FMCG market dynamics, consumer behaviour in online shopping, e-commerce best practices. Additional Desirable Skills:
• Experience with content management systems (CMS) for e-commerce platforms.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Google Analytics etc.).
• Experience with e-commerce marketing automation tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desired Certifications:
• Google Analytics Individual Qualification (IQ) or similar certification (optional).
