Role description

Overview:

This SRE will support the administration of Azure AKS clusters running critical, always-on middleware handling thousands of TPS. The role requires operating in alignment with a five-9's availability target.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and manage AKS clusters, including cutovers and base image updates.
  • Test and validate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) changes.
  • Apply software engineering practices to IT operations to maintain a scalable and reliable production environment.

  • Write IaC and automation scripts to streamline operations such as:

  • Monitoring and log analysis

  • Disaster recovery testing
  • Incident response
  • Code-based documentation

Mandatory Skills:

  • Terraform
  • Azure Cloud
  • Kubernetes cluster creation and maintenance (no deployment-only experience)
  • CI/CD tool experience – GitHub Actions preferred
  • Bash and Python scripting

Desirable Skills:

    • Experience with Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory
  • Secret Management using HashiCorp Vault
  • Exposure to monitoring tools
