Role & responsibilities

ROLE DEFINITION:

Tour Sales & Operations Executive plays a pivotal role in promoting, selling, and managing wildlife and nature-based travel experiences. The role involves client engagement, itinerary design, and coordination with lodges, parks, guides, and logistics partners, and ensuring smooth operations from booking to post-trip follow-up.

The ideal candidate should be passionate about wildlife and conservation, have a solid understanding of eco-tourism destinations, and possess strong organizational and communication skills to ensure seamless and memorable travel experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales & Client Engagement

  2. Respond promptly to client inquiries via email, phone, and online channels.


• Design and sell customized wildlife and eco-tourism itineraries tailored to client interests, budgets, and travel preferences.

  • Prepare detailed quotations, proposals, and travel packages for domestic and international wildlife destinations.
  • Maintain relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales and travel process.

2. Operations & Coordination

  • Confirm and manage bookings with lodges, safari camps, guides, and transport providers.
  • Coordinate park permits, safaris, transfers, and field activities.
  • Ensure all travel documentation, vouchers, and itineraries are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Liaise with on-ground teams to ensure smooth tour execution and resolve any issues.


• Gather and analyse post-tour feedback for service improvement.

3. Product Knowledge & Development

  • Research and develop new wildlife products and improve existing itineraries to meet market demand.
  • Analyse competitors, understand customer preferences, and recommend product improvements.
  • Create ready reckoners, ensuring updated and accurate content for sales and marketing teams.


• Work on rate sheets, ensuring competitive and well-structured pricing strategies.

  • Design and manage SIC (Seat-in-Coach) tours, negotiating with suppliers and ensuring cost-effective, high-quality experiences.

4. Vendor Management

  • Identify and build relationships with new vendors and partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and service-level agreements (SLAs) outlining pricing, deliverables, and quality standards.
  • Define and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate vendor performance.
  • Maintain a database of reliable suppliers and ensure consistent service quality.

5. Marketing & Content Support

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create wildlife-focused content for brochures, blogs, and social media.
  • Provide destination insights and travel tips for marketing campaigns.
    • Support participation in travel fairs, exhibitions, and webinars.
  • Build a content bank of photos, videos, and articles related to operated tours and wildlife experiences.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications & Experience:


• Bachelors degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Wildlife Management, Environmental Studies, or a related field.


• 1-3 years of experience in tour sales or operations, preferably in wildlife, adventure, or eco-tourism.


• In-depth knowledge of wildlife destinations, parks, and conservation-based experiences in South Asia or Southeast Asia.


• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.


• Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace and familiarity with CRM or booking systems. Preferred Skills:


• Experience working with wildlife lodges, guides, or conservation organizations.


• Familiarity with sustainable and responsible tourism practices.


• Basic understanding of wildlife behaviour, habitats, and biodiversity.
