About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Engineer to drive business growth in the sales of natural gas, biogas, propane, and hydrogen gas gensets/engines ranging from 50 kW to 2 MW. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in gas engines, proven sales experience, and a track record of working with tenders, EPCs, and industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for gas gensets and engines (50 kW – 2 MW).
• Manage the full sales cycle – from lead generation, client presentations, techno-commercial proposals, negotiation, to order closure.
• Identify opportunities with EPC contractors, government projects, industrial customers, OEMs, and consultants.
• Prepare and submit tenders, RFQs, and government bids ensuring compliance with technical and commercial requirements.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships.
• Work closely with engineering and service teams to provide technical support during pre-sales and after-sales phases.
• Track market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments in the gas genset/engine domain.
• Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and technical seminars.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• 7+ years of proven sales experience in the power generation/engine industry (gas gensets/engines mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of natural gas, biogas, propane, and hydrogen gensets (50 kW – 2 MW range).
• Demonstrated expertise in tendering, government bids, and large-scale EPC contracts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and basic financial/commercial calculations.
• Willingness to travel extensively as per business needs.
