Network Setup and Configuration

  • Assist in installing routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Help configure LAN, WAN, and VPN connections.

  • Support basic network cabling and labeling.

  • Monitoring and Maintenance

  • Monitor network performance and report any irregularities.

  • Perform routine checks on connectivity, bandwidth, and latency.

  • Assist in applying firmware or software updates.

  • Troubleshooting Support

  • Respond to user-reported network issues under supervision.

  • Diagnose basic connectivity problems (e.g., IP conflicts, cable faults).

  • Document incidents and escalate complex issues to senior engineers.

  • Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain network diagrams and asset inventories.

  • Update configuration records and change logs.

  • Prepare daily/weekly status reports for supervisors.

  • Security and Compliance

  • Support the implementation of network security measures (e.g., access controls, antivirus updates).

  • Learn to identify potential security vulnerabilities.

  • Follow data protection and IT policies.

  • Learning and Development

  • Participate in training on networking tools, protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS), and cybersecurity fundamentals.

  • Study for relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA, Juniper JNCIA).
  • Shadow senior engineers to gain practical exposure.

Job Type: Full-time
