We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer & Team Lead to lead our backend engineering efforts, architect scalable systems, and guide a team of passionate developers in building India's next-generation social network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of backend developers.
  • Oversee system architecture and ensure scalability, performance, and security.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices.
  • Backend Development:
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs.
  • Build and maintain microservices and distributed systems using (Express / ).
  • Integrate databases, caching systems, and third-party APIs.
  • Optimize system performance, handle concurrency, and ensure reliability at scale.
  • System Architecture:
  • Define backend architecture, database schemas, and data flow for social networking features (feeds, notifications, chats, profiles, etc.).
  • Work with DevOps to ensure seamless CI/CD and cloud deployment (AWS / GCP).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate closely with frontend (React Native / Next JS Web), product, and design teams to deliver high-impact features.
  • Translate business goals into technical strategies and deliverables.
  • Quality & Security:
  • Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms.
  • Maintain code quality, documentation, and API standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in , or
  • Solid experience in MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Experience with Redis, DragonflyDB, RabbitMQ / Kafka, and caching mechanisms.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS / GCP, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Deep understanding of microservices, API architecture, and scalable systems.
  • Proven experience leading a backend or full-stack team.
  • Familiarity with social media features like feeds, real-time messaging, notifications, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Good to Have

  • Experience with , WebSockets, and real-time systems.
  • Understanding of AI-driven recommendations, content moderation, or user analytics.
  • Prior experience working on social networking or community-based platforms.
