Job Description: Admissions Counsellor at Kangaroo Kids International PreSchool

Position: Admissions Counsellor

Location: Electronic city phase 1

Reports to: Centre head

Interns are welcome as well.

Overview:

Kangaroo Kids International PreSchool is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Academic Counsellor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the academic and emotional development of our preschool students, managing admission inquiries, and contributing to the overall success of our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Admission Enquiry Manager:

  2. Respond promptly and professionally to all inquiries from prospective parents via phone, email, and in-person.

  3. Provide detailed information about the preschool's curriculum, teaching methods, facilities, and admission process.

  4. Organize and conduct tours of the preschool for prospective parents and their children.

  5. Assist in the enrollment process, including application reviews, interview coordination, and follow-ups with families.

  6. Student and Parent Support:

  7. Offer guidance and support to parents regarding their child's academic and social development.

  8. Address any concerns or questions parents may have about their child's progress or school experience.

  9. Conduct regular meetings with parents to discuss their child's progress and development.

  10. Training and Development:

  11. Attend and participate in professional development sessions and training programs to stay updated on the latest educational trends and practices.

  12. Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement new strategies and methodologies in the classroom.

  13. Record Keeping and Documentation:

  14. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all student inquiries, admissions, and enrollment details.

  15. Document interactions with parents and students, including meetings, phone calls, and emails.

  16. Prepare regular reports on admission statistics and trends for review by the school administration.

  17. Collaborative Engagement:

  18. Work closely with teachers, staff, and administration to create a supportive and nurturing learning environment.

  19. Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and other activities that foster community engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • Previous experience in an academic counseling or similar role, preferably in a preschool setting.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Proficient in using technology for record-keeping and communication.

  • Passion for working with young children and their families.
