Title: Deputy Chief Architect – Della Township

Location and Days : Mumbai (Frequent Travel Required)- 6 Days working

Department: Architecture & Design

Reports To: Director

Position Overview

The Chief Architect will lead the architectural vision, planning, and execution of all projects within Della Townships, including luxury township developments, villas, and master planning. This role requires strategic leadership, technical expertise, and a strong design sensibility to deliver high-end, innovative, and sustainable architectural solutions in line with the company's brand ethos.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Architectural Leadership & Strategy

  2. Lead and manage the in-house architectural team and coordinate with external consultants.

  3. Define design guidelines, quality standards, and architectural principles for township and luxury projects.

  4. Ensure alignment of all architectural designs with brand aesthetics, functional requirements, and statutory norms.

  5. Project Planning & Execution

  6. Oversee conceptual design, schematic development, and final construction drawings (GFCs).

  7. Review and approve master plans, layouts, working drawings, and detailed drawings for residential, commercial, and public spaces within the township.

  8. Conduct periodic site visits to Lonavala for design supervision, quality checks, and coordination with project teams.

  9. Municipal & Regulatory Coordination

  10. Liaise with municipal authorities for approvals, permissions, and compliance with local building regulations.

  11. Ensure timely submission of drawings and documents as per municipal requirements.

  12. Stakeholder Coordination

  13. Collaborate with MEP, structural, landscape, and interior teams to ensure seamless integration of all design elements.

  14. Work closely with project management and construction teams to ensure design intent is maintained during execution.

  15. Innovation & Sustainability

  16. Integrate sustainable design principles, green building practices, and new materials into township planning.

  17. Stay updated on global architectural trends and adapt them to local context.
Job Expectations:

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in large-scale township or luxury residential projects.
  • Strong understanding of municipal by-laws, building codes, and township planning regulations.
  • Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment with frequent travel.

Work Environment & Travel

  • Base location: Mumbai
  • Frequent travel to Lonavala for site visits, client meetings, and project reviews (minimum 2–3 times per week or as per project needs).
Minimum Qualification:

Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.

Minimum Job Experience:

Minimum 12–15 years of architectural experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
