Job Title: Senior Liaison Officer

Job Summary:

The Senior Liaison Officer will be responsible for managing and coordinating all government, statutory, and regulatory interactions to ensure timely approvals, clearances, and compliance for company operations and projects. The role requires excellent networking, communication, and problem-solving skills to maintain strong relationships with government departments, local authorities, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with government bodies, local authorities, and regulatory agencies for obtaining necessary project and operational approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements related to company licenses, permits, and environmental or safety regulations.
  • Maintain updated records of approvals, licenses, and renewals.
  • Build and sustain professional relationships with government officials and key stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management on status of liaison activities and pending approvals.
  • Assist in representing the company during official meetings, inspections, and audits.
  • Monitor policy changes and government notifications relevant to the business and advise management on implications.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between internal teams (projects, finance, HR, etc.) and external agencies.
  • Handle land, labor, and local community-related liaison activities where required.
  • Support management in resolving administrative or regulatory challenges impacting operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Master's in Public Administration / Political Science / Law preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in liaison, government relations, or corporate affairs.
  • Strong network with government and local authorities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of statutory compliances and regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and documentation.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
