Your Role

The Data Platform studio has a key position available for a Java application developer. In this

position, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects in Java. Among the

projects that you will be involved in is the implementation of a resource-oriented architecture

through a series of restful web services and client applications. We are looking for candidates

who are ready to roll up their sleeves and solve problems, including the ability to figure out

what caused the problem and to make sure that it doesn t recur.

What You Will Do

Design, develop, and unit test Java applications in accordance with established

standards.

Help define and maintain guidelines to deliver end-to-end solution in the agile execution

environment.

Prepare estimates for a given high level/low level requirements.

Bring knowledge and help with continuous integration, deployment and security.

Automating the build & deployment environment with relative tools and

troubleshooting build & deployment issues.

Work in close cooperation with the global team.

Collaborate with other team members during implementation (including pair

programming) and perform code reviews to ensure high quality.

Participate in the coding, defect root cause analysis and bug fixing.

Document the implemented solution, esp. the APIs

Your Qualifications:

3-5 yrs. of strong Java experience in the middle tier web services and SOA patterns.

Experience building RESTful systems and knowledge of RESTful constraints.

Intermediate level experience with build tools like Maven and Ant.

Intermediate level experience of continuous integration and continuous deployment

using GitLab.

Must have hands on experience in Unit Test automation tools like JUnit.

Experience/knowledge in Spring Boot packages and embedded web server deployment

would be a plus.

Excellent knowledge of distributed version control system (GIT or Mercurial) is highly

desirable.

Strong experience of working in Agile environment.

Awareness of standards and best practices in coding while developing java applications.

Willingness to learn recent technologies and innovative ways of approaching projects.

Effective communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills and the ability to

complete assigned work with minimal supervision.

Strong behavioral skills including but not limited to problem-solving, work prioritization,

communication, self-direction, and time management.

Should be a self-starter and a collaborative team player
