Tally Developer (Integration Specialist)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Tally Developer who can help integrate our platform with Tally ERP / Tally Prime. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in Tally APIs, XML / ODBC integration, TDL, and automation of accounting data exchange between systems. You will work closely with our backend and product teams to enable seamless two-way data flow for invoices, ledgers, payments, and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations between our platform and Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime.
• Implement data synchronization for ledgers, vouchers, invoices, and inventory modules.
• Use Tally XML / JSON APIs, ODBC, or Tally.NET or TDL for data extraction and posting.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Tally-related integration and performance issues.
• Work with internal developers to expose secure REST APIs for communication with Tally.
• Support UAT, deployment, and documentation of the integration process.
• Ensure data integrity, error handling, and security compliance in all transactions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in Tally customization and integration.
• Strong knowledge of Tally Definition Language (TDL) and Tally ODBC / XML interface.
• Hands-on experience in Tally Prime / ERP 9 API integration with external platforms.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, GST, and voucher structures in Tally.
• Experience building automation tools or connectors for Tally.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and database concepts (MySQL / PostgreSQL).
• Experience integrating Tally with FinTech or SaaS platforms.

Nice to Have

• Proficiency in .NET / Python / / JavaScript or any backend language for integration scripting.
• Knowledge of webhooks and real-time synchronization techniques.
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS) and secure data transfer protocols.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
