What we do:
- Deliver and maintain Golden Images for all supported tech stacks, ensuring secure and reliable base images for app development.
- Define and enforce standards for Java and stacks, collaborating with working groups to formalize best practices.
- Build and support platform frameworks, libraries and tools tailored for Atlassian
- Drive adoption of secure, compliant, and efficient development workflows, including FedRAMP-compliant solutions and CIS controls.
- Continuously improve the developer experience for microservice developers

Responsibilities:
- Lead, hire, and grow a team of high-performing engineers, including technical leaders.
- Guide the technical roadmap for scaling and evolving services, working with leaders across the organization and Principal Engineers/Architects.
- Accountable for reliability, security, performance, and scale of all the services you own.
- Drive adoption of your team's services across the company.
- Drive cultural change through technical excellence, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, in scope, and within quality goals in an Agile environment.
- 5+ years managing and growing engineering teams
- Experience providing feedback and coaching to engineers and technical leaders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience building SaaS software with a focus on operational excellence and reliability.
- Experience with scalable, high-performance, highly available systems.
- Strong understanding of using metrics to guide technical and business decisions.
- Familiarity with security, privacy, or compliance systems is a plus
- Experience structuring and coaching teams for success and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to build trusted advisor relationships with senior business and technical leaders.
